Landing an internship in the Bay is the exciting part. Finding somewhere to live for three or four months that isn’t a dorm cot or a $3,000 studio is the annoying part. NatalAid is a small, doctor-hosted property in San Jose with two furnished homes rented by the month, set up for exactly this: a clean, quiet place to live for a semester, wired for the work, and priced so two people can share it without either of them overpaying.
The 2-bedroom ground-floor home has two real bedrooms — not a bedroom and a couch — so two interns can split it and still each have a door that closes. At $4,800 a month, that’s about $2,400 per person, which lands under most corporate intern-housing packages and most downtown studio sublets — and you get a full kitchen, a home theater, a piano, on-site exercise equipment and a garden with a fire pit instead of a shared hallway. Coming solo? The 1-bedroom suite at the rear is $3,500 a month with its own private entrance.
Both homes are built for people who actually have to get work done: a proper desk, a hardwired gigabit ethernet drop next to Wi-Fi 7, free off-street parking, and a Level 2 EV charger at no extra cost. There’s an e-scooter for short hops, and 101, 280, 880 and Caltrain/BART connections are all close for the commute to campus.
The property is hosted by Enoch, a San Jose physician — so there’s an actual person answering texts the same day, not a management company. Laundry is a shared, self-service room in the building with detergent included, and cleaning is handled between stays; on stays over a month we add mail handling and a welcome call.

Move-in is contactless — a smart lock, with your code sent two days ahead — so arriving after a late flight is fine. Leases run by the month and we’re flexible on semester-length blocks; tell us your start and end dates and we’ll quote it.
Monthly rates start at $3,500 for the 1-bedroom and $4,800 for the 2-bedroom (about $2,400 each for two sharing), discounted from the nightly rate for 30+ night stays.
